mp2300siecThe MP2300Siec uses open-standards Modbus/TCP and Ethernet/IP communication protocols to connect with a wide variety of peripherals currently on the market. A single-slot, multi-axes controller, the MP2300Siec is available with four, eight or 16 motion axes and features one slot for an options module. With eight choices of option cards available for the expansion slot, buyers can choose from cards that can handle a multitude of machine requirements.

The controller uses the MECHATROLINK-II technology for the motion network. This technology, combined with Ethernet, allow the controller to interface with many remote input/output modules developed by third-parties, such as Wago, Opto 22 and Phoenix. Maintenance personnel can use the built-in web server, which offers standard diagnostics, without the need for special or additional software. Modbus TCP/IP and Ethernet/IP are standard and included with the unit. The controller uses MotionWorks IEC Express and MotionWorks IEC Pro.

The MP2300Siec has a user variable memory of 1.75 MB. It operates at 24VDC, with a maximum input current of one amp. A battery can be attached for memory retention.

The controller is capable of performing under a variety of environmental conditions. Ambient temperatures can range from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, and storage temperatures can range from minus 25 to 85 degrees Celsius. Provided there is no condensation, humidity levels from 30 to 95 percent are possible during operation; storage humidity levels can range from 5 percent to 95 percent. The MP2300Siec is designed to operate at an altitude that does not exceed 2,000 m above sea level.

Unit dimensions are 64 mm wide, 130 mm in height and 108 mm deep. Weight is 390 g. The MP2300Siec features eight switches: STOP, INIT, E-INIT, TEST, E-TEST, MON, SUP and CNFG. Indicators are RDY, ERR, RUN, ALM, MTX, TRX, LINK, 100M, BAT and IP.
